Change of landlord from L&Q to Phoenix Community Housing

Following consultation with residents, L&Q have agreed to transfer the ownership and management of their homes in Grove Park to Phoenix Community Housing Association. Thank you to everyone that gave us their feedback during this time.

In reaching this agreement, L&Q’s Board have reviewed and taken into account the views of residents expressed during the consultation and have also undertaken an assessment of Phoenix’s ability to provide a high-quality service to you as set out in their proposal.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for being a part of this consultation and for helping us form this proposal. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in Grove Park since 2008 and know that Phoenix, as a local resident-led organisation, are well placed to provide residents with an excellent housing service.

Change of landlord from L&Q to Phoenix Community Housing

The consultation period for the proposed transfer of homes at Grove Park to Phoenix Community Housing has now closed. Thank you to all of you that gave us your feedback during this time.

Transfer decision 

We have reviewed your consultation feedback and assessed Phoenix’s ability to provide a high-quality service to Grove Park residents. Based on this review, we have decided to proceed with the transfer of the ownership and management of the homes in Grove Park to Phoenix.

Please note that while we have agreed to go ahead with the transfer, there is still a legal and contractual process to go through before the transfer can take place.  

Transfer date

We are aiming to complete the transfer to Phoenix on Monday 29^th November 2021. We will write to residents again shortly to confirm the exact date of the transfer and details about their new staff contacts and how to report repairs and how to pay rent and service charges to Phoenix.

Phoenix will also be writing to residents around the transfer date to give them more details about their services.

Formal consultation stage begins

23^rd July – 7^th September 2021

We are now proceeding to the formal consultation stage for the Grove Park stock transfer proposal. This stage will start on Friday 23rd July and end on Tuesday 7th September 2021. This is your opportunity to give us your formal feedback so please let us know what you think – your views are important to us.

This consultation will help us understand your feelings about the proposal and will help us develop plans that respond to these points and reduce any potential concerns.

The proposal will only be progressed subject to the outcome of this consultation as well as the due diligence work we are undertaking with Phoenix.
